NORTH WALSHAM RUGBY CLUB IS REGISTERED AS A COMMUNITY AMATEUR SPORTS CLUB (CASC).
The CASC scheme was introduced in 2002 as an option for sports clubs to register with HMRC to receive ‘charity type’ tax relief. North Walsham Rugby Club is also accredited with the England RFU and Eastern Counties RFU seal of approval.
The Club has approximately 400 senior and 550 junior playing members. The Club is managed by the Board of Directors, which is appointed by Club members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
At the AGM the Members are presented with the Club’s annual accounts as compiled by the Finance Director and audited by the Club’s accountants; the Chairman’s annual report, and items in the agenda requiring a vote for their rejection or approval are distributed by the Secretary.
The Club’s Main Committee comprises the Chairman, President, Secretary, and the Directors. Its role is to provide the Club with leadership and direction, while taking into account the interests of the Club’s membership and in particular the outstanding volunteers at every playing level across the Club that make things happen.
As a Club we aim to keep it as fun as possible for all involved in playing, watching and enjoying rugby at North Walsham, while always respecting and upholding rugby’s teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship values in everything we do.
